Infertility
Infertility is very common and needs assessment. The evaluation of an infertile couple is done through various laboratory and radiology testing. In addition this field also addresses fertility preservation, with egg freezing (or sperm).
Egg freezing (human oocytes cryopreservation) is a technique in which a women’s eggs are extracted, frozen and stored. When she is ready to conceive, eggs are thawed, fertilized and transferred to the uterus as embryos.
Egg freezing can be done from puberty until 40 years old but it is best to do it between the ages of 20 to 35 years old.
This technique is available in Lebanon, the patient can be informed and evaluated at The Healthquarters. However the actual procedure takes place in a center where the lab is readily available for freezing.
