With the begining of the new year, it seems to be the perfect moment to create time for ourselves and do things that make us feel good and nourished!
We crucially need some inner peace and stability in these tumultuous times to give our best to people around us!
Here are some idease for self care:
– eat whole and healthy foods
– indulge when you feel like it
– spend time outside, in contact with nature
– cook a nice breakfast
– take a warm bath
– read a book
– watch your favorite series
– meet up with friends
– listen to music
– say no
– write a list of things you are grateful for

Pottery experience at Bkerzay!

Last week, I took a pottery class for the first time. It had a soothing and comforting effect and I felt like sharing my experience. Pottery is an ancient therapeutic art that provides ultimate relief to the mind and body:
– It boosts confidence, self-esteem, self-expression, self-identification and spontaneity. There is no right or wrong way of doing it, you just do what you feel; no pressure.
– It helps you connect with yourself and the environment: while spinning clay, your mind and body are in natural synergy, wrapped around your creative ambitions.
– It improves your mood: creating something unique gives you a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.
– It reduces stress: This thoughtful, artistic activity opens up the mind and relieves you of external worries. Hence, cortisol (stress hormone) levels will decrease and reducing the risk of emotional and stress eating.
– It improves and shifts your focus: instead of worrying about things in your life rather change your focus to creating something. It will help the mind relax and expand, which will help you focus better in other areas of life as well.
– Even though pottery is not a strenuous activity it is strengthening to the hands, wrists and arms
